When did you find out that you are pregnant and pregnancy symptoms?

I found out that I am pregnant in the early morning on 28 Feb 2016. I and Senthil decided to test as I missed my periods for 2 months. I had my testing kit handy and tested it out and it came nearly a positive (+) sign with a blurry blue line not fully formed. I was surprised to see the result and showed the result to Senthil. We were happy 😊 but little confused 🤔due to blurry blue line and not fully formed positive sign. We decided to test once again or to check with the GP. So took the snap of my result and showed to GP. GP mentioned if it is positive it is positive no doubt with regards to a blurred line.😊

Funny thing was, I and Senthil went to Gym and was working out hard to reduce weight in January month till mid of February. Senthil used to sweat more, no weight reduction whereas I don't sweat and my weight reducing 😁🤔. I was really happy that my workout is showing the result but after pregnancy confirmed I read in an article normally person who is obese will usually reduce weight and later they put on weight.

When did your pregnancy symptoms start?

I had no signs of being pregnant for 6 weeks as we had no clue of pregnancy. Later I started with the cooking smell ( esp frying ) and grilled chicken smell, my favourite dish that created doubt of my pregnancy and confirmed on 28 Feb 2016. I took GP appointment as it was nearly 12 weeks and the doctor prescribed folic acid as well as asked to book for a midwife appointment. As my midwife appointment was delayed and it was around my 16th week. We were worried about fetal growth. We looked for private scanning and booked an appointment. Here is the first look of our little angel on 12th March 2016 with a steady heartbeat. Look at the Scan Pic, our little baby is waving the hands. Hi, Mom & Dad!!!😊😊

It was very wonderful feeling to listen to the heartbeat of our sweet heart and was also waving her hand. After scanning, we tried to fool our parents by saying we are having twins 😜.

The first scan was on 31st March 2016 at Leicester General Hospital.

When did you start showing your little Bump 🤰🏻 💕?

Being the first-time mum, I was waiting to experience the bump and I wanted to get noticed 😉. Especially Senthil wanted to take my Bump picture. If I remember correctly, I was showing mine around 5th month ( May ). We took random pictures of my Bump.

Baby Shower !! Handful of bangles 🎊💕

Baby shower, Indian style. In India, a baby shower for the mum is planned in odd months like 5,7 or 9. The baby shower is more of family conducted function. We had 2 Baby Shower function. First, one organised by friends surprisingly in the month of ...and made it more special in Manchester in the absence of our parents. Secondly, we organised at home when mum was here with us.

Labour...a painful experience.. ... 😰

During my initial scan, the due date provided was 13 Sep 2016. Whereas the scan which was pursued at the hospital provided 20 Sep 2016. We were eagerly waiting for our baby till 20 Sep no signs of contraction. I was over 40 weeks, during my midwife appointment my midwife said that baby back is on my back. They suggested me to Bend forward so that baby might change its position. On 23 Sep 2016, I noticed spotting. My contraction started from 24 Sep 2016 early morning and on 25th Sep, the contraction was slightly closer and severe pain. It was not possible to sleep properly. Till 26th Sep mid day I was managing the pain, Senthil was worried frequently messaging me about my status from office and mum was worrying and gave massage to back and I used to scold and scream at mum whenever the pain comes. I was very sad for her but she used to say I m not like other pregnant ladies who used to lose their control and show out extra. Senthil texted me to be ready so we can go to triage as suggested by our friend. We visited the hospital at 4 pm. Usually, they won't take patients who visit without informing but seeing my state they asked me to provide the urine sample and then checked my cervix. It was already 5cms dilated if it is 4cms they would have sent me back to home. As it is 5cms they asked me to get admitted immediately as labour may start anytime. Senthil and mum were there with me in the labour room.  I managed the pain till 7cms, we were very happy 3 more cms baby will be born. After few hours I was getting stronger pain, therefore opted for an epidural. It was going fine till 8cms, myself and baby were monitored continuously. 

To progress the contraction they further gave the hormonal dip. Then the complication started midwife cannot able monitor baby heartbeat. The doctor came they tried all possibilities and at last, they put a clip on baby hair to monitor the heartbeat, since the baby had a lot of hair it was difficult to monitor. Then again they followed the initial method and I had to turn slightly to a different position to monitor heartbeat. As time progressed Midwife was worried as the baby heartbeat was either low or high. The doctor was called again, he suggested to go with c section!! We were asking him if we can wait for few more minutes. He waited for 5 minutes and he suggested there is an option to check if I can proceed with normal or c section. It is by taking blood from the baby head by putting a slight scratch..!! We got very much worried as it was never heard by us. Since the doctor was from India we personally asked will there be any issue...by testing this way on the baby in future. He said, there is to worry .... we planned to go with it. Then the doctor came and took the blood and gave to midwife to find the result. By the time the result came I started to get shivering as my temperature 🤒 dropped. The doctor said no further option we have to proceed with emergency c section.!!! No luck !!!

They prepared me and took for the c section. Mum had to wait in the waiting room. Senthil was given a dress to wear in operation theatre. He got ready and came inside whereas for me there started the procedure. It was good rapport 😜inside with Tamil doctor and anaesthetist simultaneously my procedure was going on. Senthil was near me, I couldn't feel any pain but I can feel only the pressure. Very soon we heard our little baby angel 😇 cry 😘💕. Doctor 👨‍⚕️ wrapped the baby and gave in Senthil's hand and asked us to predict the gender.

Senthil said Boy and I said, Girl. What you think the result will be? Guess!! God gifted precious little angel wrapped 🎁 in pink. Yes it is girl baby 😍😘👧

We brought out little angel home on 30th Sep 2016, Made her bath for the first time.
